How we became world sailors

Once upon a time a Kiwi met a Norwegian. The Kiwi quite fancied the Norwegian, so when she said (with an adorable Norwegian accent) “Hey, I’m looking for a boat to sail around the world, want to come with me?”, the Kiwi said “Sure mate, count me in!”. The Kiwi and Norwegian were so in love and enthralled with the plans of this amazing life that lay ahead that they thought “Let’s have a kid and bring it along too!”. And so they had a kid (Emilia). And then another (Max). And so nappies, kindie, school, sports, work, careers, moving from Stockholm to New Zealand to Singapore - AKA “Life” happened... It was to be another 15 years before the Kiwi said “Hey babe, now that the kids are getting close to fleeing the nest, wanna go sailing with me for the rest of our lives?”. The Norwegian said (adorable accent sadly diminished by this stage) “Yeah mate!”. And so it was that gathered all their saving, sold all their possessions, said goodbye to their friends, tossed the mooring lines and sailed in to the sunset.

August 2023, Craig and Bodil left Singapore and has since sailed extensively in Asia, Africa and Europe, as well as the oceans in-between. They are not short of stories…
